Matthew 6 - Thoughts

The Lord's prayer always brings an interesting thought to my mind. "Forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors." It really puts it on us to forgive other people. How do you want to be forgiven? Only for certain things? Not at all? Or completed and quickly for every wrong you make? Are you forgiving others the same way you want to be forgiven?

"For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses."

"Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness;" - what are you doing to see God before anything else? Here are some suggestions of how you can do this:

- Study the scriptures every day.

- Pray in your heart without ceasing.

- Serve your fellow man.

- Love God, love others

- Share your testimony with others

- Be grateful for the things God has given you - make a list so that you remember your blessings.

- Keep an eternal perspective. "All these things shall give thee experience, and shall be for thy good." (D&C 122:7)
