Change the way you shower

Today I have a tool that will change your life ... or, at least, make sure you don't forget all the amazing ideas you think of in the shower.

I don't know about you, but for me, those few precious moments in the shower are just about one of the only times throughout the day where my thoughts seem to clear and suddenly I can organize and list everything that needs to be done. It's where I solve the world's problems, come up with brilliant ideas, and make mental grocery lists. But the second I step out of the shower, I suddenly forget it all. Probably because when I'm out of the shower it's back to talking with tiny tots and trying to follow their train of thought.

However, a few weeks ago, I got this brilliant idea. I asked my daughter to grab her bathtub crayon for me. It's this wax substance that kids can use to write on the walls in the bathroom and then it scrubs off (with just a little bit of elbow grease) when bath time is over. Anyway, she handed me her crayon and I started writing on the walls like mad. I wrote down anything important that came to mind whilst washing myself, and when I got out of the shower and dried off, I got out my phone and wrote down the notes on my notes page (I keep all notes on my phone or calendar, I'd be lost without it).

I even did it when I thought of this post. Suddenly I had an infusion of blog ideas (and ideas for my other business) and I was able to remember all of them because I wrote it down on my shower walls.

I certainly don't use it every day, not all of my showers are filled with genius ideas, but when they come, you don't want to be left empty handed.

And, of course, shower crayons are fun for your kids too! It's a win-win for everyone, just make sure and have your kids scrub it off when bath time is over.
